Description: List and describe the essential responsibilities of the position for which the individual is held accountable.

Residing within the Corporate Finance organization, the Financial Systems Administrator will play a key role in driving the continued enhancement and adoption for the Khalix planning application as well as other finance systems sustaining activities. Khalix is the global financial planning application for eBay. Key responsibilities include the following: 
Work closely with customer base in order to understand and support the financial planning process.
Maintain and support the addition of new Khalix data structures.
Maintain and develop processes and templates designed for collecting and consolidating financial information.
Maintain system security including adding, modifying, and deleting users and user groups and assigning / managing appropriate security levels.
Responsible for system testing and quality assurance for new or modified configurations. Identify the impact and manage the implementation of new releases and upgrades.
Become a subject matter expert in Khalix and help with internal training, trouble shooting and help desk functions.
Maintain other financial system reporting structures such as segment hierarchies and system interfaces.
 The success of this role will largely be dependent on this person’s ability to interface successfully with the finance community, IT and Business Unit teams globally. This position will report to the Sr Mgr, Finance Process and Systems. Qualifications: Knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and education required to perform job.

The successful candidate will be self motivating, have an excellent customer service attitude and is driven by a desire to continuously improve processes and applications. Candidates should also possess the following: 
Computer savvy with experience working with software applications;
Basic financial knowledge including understanding of debits & credits and financial statements;
Effective communication skills – including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner;
Focus on achieving project deliverables within tight timelines;
Ability to work well within a team structure;
Working knowledge of financial consolidation  / financial planning and reporting systems such as but not restricted to Hyperion, Cognos, Outlooksoft, Oracle, etc. Knowledge of Longview’s Khalix software is a plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access is a big plus.
