Summary:The primary responsibility of the Financial Education Consultant
is to develop and provide education consulting services to Retirement Plan Services external clients. This position does require flexibility to travel 50-60% of the year.
Major Responsibilities:· Develop, facilitate and evaluate participant education programs to meet established objectives for institutional, defined contribution (401k) clients and prospects. Responsibilities include initial consultation with clients, conversion specialists and communications specialists. Examples of programs include educational efforts regarding conversions and mergers and acquisitions.· Continually develop and deliver annual communication and education plan for assigned clients.· Grow and develop continuing education efforts for plan participants. Responsibilities include analysis of appropriate educational efforts appropriate for the client and developing an educational pr0gram using existing resources to respond to the clients request. Examples of programs include ongoing educational efforts to existing clients.· Document and assimilate client information with teammates on network databases.· Participate with new business development. Responsibilities may include presenting communication and education capabilities to prospective clients, consulting on prospective clients, consulting on prospective situations, writing case studies and responding to proposal inquiries, writing case studies and responding to proposal inquiries
Education & Experience: · Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience · Completion of series 7 and 63 required within 3 months of employment date · Demonstrated facilitation experience is preferred · Experience working with adult learners is preferred · Demonstrated knowledge of Word, LotusNotes and PowerPoint preferred · Demonstrated consulting skills are preferred · Demonstrated understanding of the financial industry and a thorough knowledge of JP Morgan products, policies and procedures is preferred · Extensive knowledge of retirement plans preferred · Spanish speaking ability is beneficial.
Working Conditions: · Ability to work evenings and weekends is required · Extended travel (50-60%) may be required · Standing for long periods of time · Some lifting required.
