Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. (OSUP) is a governed multi-specialty group comprised of over 700 physicians affiliated with the Ohio State University Medical Center.

 

General Description:

Under the direct supervision of the COO this position will be responsible for developing, writing and delivering writing and business analytics services to support the decision making processes of OSU Otolaryngology, LLC. This position will primarily utilize Cognos Business Intelligence applications such as Powerplay, Impromptu and ReportNet. Additional applications include but are not limited to Crystal Reports, PeopleSoft and Budgetworks.

 

Work Experience Requirements:

Identification, specification, writing, balancing and delivery of standard and custom reports. Experience working with report requests, including meeting with report requestors to resolve questions about pending report requests. Also, developing appropriate balancing or reconciliation for developed reports. Ability to write and read report logic through SQL and PL/SQL procedures, formulas, custom functions, etc., As needed ability to develop highly specialized custom reports. Performance tuning for reports for better report response time. Communicating to users any and all changes that could affect other reports. Assist in the preparation and documentation of report requirements and specifications working with end users Must have experience with scorecard development, including but not limited to, integration of target and benchmark data sources. Must be able to adequately process purchasing of orders and reimbursements on OSU funds. Must be able to post purchased orders and reimbursements on OSU funds. Will monitor and manage OSU funds for discrepancies, spending, accruals, and balances. Ability to organize and analyze statistical data and prepare comprehensive reports. Must be able to analyze and understand business requirements.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

Bachelors degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or Management information systems, or equivalent amount of schooling and work experience. Demonstrates an understanding of job responsibilities and uses appropriate knowledge and skills to effectively complete work. Effective task management skills. Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of report writing and/or financial analytics, using Cognos or a related application. Must possess a strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent analytic and problem solving skills working with and resolving both end user and technical issues.

Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and with a team, to achieve tight deadlines.

Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and develop, recommends, and implement solutions.

Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
