Monster’s Internet Advertising and Fees Division (IAF) manages consumer web properties and business lines that complement Monster’s recruitment business. Our mission is to deliver vast, highly targeted audiences to advertisers – helping companies reach consumers at key points in their lives via a broad portfolio of Web sites while delivering valuable content and services to consumers. Reporting to the VP of Finance – Internet Advertising and Fees (IAF), the incumbent is responsible for strategic and financial analysis of Monster North America’s IAF division. This job is located in Maynard, MA and is a highly visible role within the organization with opportunity for advancement for the right candidate!
Essential Functions: Prepare departmental budgets and rolling forecasts Manage inputs for determining direct and indirect charges for operating units for use in budgeting, forecasting and decision making Analyze and maintain monthly forecasting reporting tools Prepare internal reports for various business partners across the company Perform analysis and reporting as needed by VP of Finance and executive team
Ensure Data Integrity Understand Monster IAF Strategy and its effects on the P&L Track and report on key financial metrics with a focus on opportunity development Participate in decision making process and make recommendations Build and maintain analytical tools and computer models Prepare monthly and YTD income statement variance analysis Analyze financial performance by product, channel and business unit
Liaise with Accounting in the monthly close process Prepare ad hoc analysis to meet internal and external requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related Field; MBA a plus 3-5 years experience in a financial role with an emphasis on analyzing business performance Strong understanding of Financial/Accounting principles Solid analytical abilities with attention to detail a must Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning & Reporting Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Superior written and oral communications skills and have demonstrated skills in influencing and creative problem-solving
There is no relocation assistance offered for this position. Candidates must be willing and able to report to 5 Clock Tower Place, Maynard, MA on a daily basis.
