Description: Cox Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide financial support and analysis for the Kansas\Arkansas system. Specific duties include providing analytical support for business planning and analysis initiatives including the budgeting/ forecasting process, financial reporting, income statement and balance sheet analysis, develop and implement PC schedules to support this analysis; and perform related work as required.

Cox Job Specifications:
Provide financial support to the assigned Vice President(s) and the functional department(s) on an on-going basis, including but not limited to; budget, forecast, financial impact analysis, etc.
Partner with department leaders to provide analytical support to help them understand the financial impact of their decisions and improve decision-making process. Analyzes financial statements to ensure results are accurately stated, researches inconsistencies caused by both local and corporate input, and participates on monthly pre-close conference call with team members. Uses analytical tools to translate trends and variances into meaningful feedback.
Provides reports and analysis to local senior management to explain current and future financial performance.
Creates and updates PC schedules on a monthly basis (such as a rate-volume analysis) relating to revenues/expenses/capitals (for explaining variances to forecast/budget and as assistance in preparing succeeding budgets.) Creates end user data base queries to uncover customer account inconsistencies, refers to appropriate departments for resolution, and follows-up to ensure corrections are made and to obtain customer data for input to various reports. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Cox Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Minimum of three years experience in finance or related accounting functions required. Strong interpersonal skills needed for interaction with upper levels of management required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills needed to express findings to all levels of employees. Advanced knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel including business and financial modeling.
Working knowledge of A3 planning software, Essbase and Oracle Financial system a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work schedule to meet deadlines. Proven ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to perform under short time-frames and in stressful circumstances.
Understanding of GAAP. Understands internal controls and displays audit competency.
Strong financial planning skills required.
Dexterity to operate a personal computer.
Ability to read small print in manuals and various financial documents.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
