A growing Veteran Owned Small Business in Northern Virginia is looking for seasoned Financial Managers to support the United States Coast Guard with a broad range of General and Professional Accounting Services, and Program and Project Management Services for Financial Activities.

Job Description: The selected candidates will work as members of aconsulting project team supporting the United States Coast Guard in:

·        Creating efficient and effective financial operations

·        Receiving an unqualified Statement of Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 opinion for FINCEN operations

·        Receiving an unqualified financial statement audit, and

·        Receiving an unqualified opinion on internal controls over financial reporting

Successful candidates will possess the ability to analyze problems, devise possible solutions and approaches, and to articulate written and oral analysis to other members of the team and to the client.  The ability to deliver results by executing the solutions and performing the financial improvement tasks according to the team’s project plan is critical. Prior Coast Guard or federal accounting/budgeting experience is highly desirable. Travel requirement is5-15%

Summary Skills and Qualifications: Candidate should possess experience as an accountant, comptroller, budgeter, or programmer with federal military or civilian agencies.  Experience may be as military,civil service, or contractor. Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required: accounting, financial services, internal controls, and program management.  Because several positions are open, experience requirements vary.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree. Master’sdegree and certifications (CPA, CGFM, and CDFM) are a plus.

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.
