Finance Director
The City of Camden seeks candidates for the position of Finance Director. Under the supervision and direction of the Chief Operating Officer, City of Camden, the Director of Finance will be responsible for all activities and aspects of the financial operations for the City of Camden.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in finance, and/or be a Certified Public Accountant. Alternatively, candidates may substitute local government finance director experience for the required degree or CPA credential. In addition, candidates must have extensive county or municipal government accounting experience, with a minimum of 6 years of such experience, at least 4 of which must be in a management capacity. The successful candidate must possess an active New Jersey Municipal Finance Officer Certification, or be able to obtain this license within 2 years of hire.
Salary will be set commensurate with qualifications and experience, and a generous benefits package is offered. The appointed candidate is required to annually file a Financial Disclosure Statement in accordance with Local Government ethics law.
