Finance Specialists Summary

Our client is a large international management consulting company with locations in 48 countries around the world. 

The client has a large government contract with the federal government in Silver Spring, Maryland. They are seeking to fill multiple long-term contract positions.

No relocation will be provided. Only local candidates please.

Finance Specialists Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure timely entry of all financial transactions on the automated financial system.  Follow-up of problem payment instruments.  Review and analyze financial data as required.  Prepare routine and ad hoc reports.  Perform analysis of financial, cost data, operating and project reports.  Review and analyze legal documents (judgments and settlement agreements) in the calculation/recalculation of debt.  Monitor and maintain database used in the processing of payments.  Interface with numerous government accounting systems.  Ensure procedures and guidelines are followed, reports are completed, and deposit activities are conducted.

 

Essential Finance Specialists Skills & Characteristics

Should have a strong understanding of federal government accounting and finance processing rules and regulationsExperience in debt collection and financial litigation is preferredShould be familiar with various government related word processing and spreadsheet softwareMust perform consistently and accurately with a minimal rate of errorsSupervisory experience is requiredU.S. citizenship is requiredMust be able to pass a credit check and background check
