PayPal is looking to hire a smart, savvy, energetic, and well rounded Finance Manager to provide financial planning and analysis support for PayPal’s Global Transaction Expense business team.  Transaction processing cost is PayPal’s largest cost item encompassing over $700M in annual costs, spread across credit card, ACH, and debit card (issuing) platforms.  Managing and optimizing this large cost bucket is very critical to the overall success of the company and its profitability.  The Finance Manager should not only possess strong financial and analytical skills, but should also be a thought leader and over time become an expert and evangelist for transaction cost related issues. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly assume a broad set of responsibilities, many of which will involve heavy cross functional collaboration.  These responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


- Manage the monthly forecasting, quarterly planning, and annual budgeting process
- Manage the annual 3-year strategic planning process- Maintain and develop new and existing financial and analytical models- Advise country and business unit finance teams on cost related items and coordinate all segment and country level transaction cost forecasting and planning- Partner with accounting to manage the monthly close and reporting process- Take a leadership role in driving in-depth financial analysis related to new cost optimization initiatives and work with business unit partners to drive execution of these initiatives- Interface with bank partners and other financial service partners to drive process formation, process stability, and invoice accuracy- Drive reporting of monthly credit card, ACH, and other funding costs for various segment audiences (country finance teams, business teams, corporate finance)- Assume ownership of all transaction cost related financial systems and work with the reporting teams to ensure system stability, as well as the long term evolution of the systems- Be a trusted business partner to various functional groups and become an expert on cost related issues

- Solid financial modeling and analytical skills and proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity- A team player with strong customer focus and partnership abilities- Results-oriented professional with an ability to manage projects independently- Ability to communicate and interface directly with all levels in the organization- Payments, eCommerce, and/or Financial Services industry background a plus
- BA/BS Degree required, MBA or advanced degrees preferred- Minimum 4 years of prior financial and analytical experience
