Our client is a Fortune 50 retail company. They are a high quality bullet proof enterprise that outperforms its market sector and is a dominant player in the global economy. They are one of a few companies today on the Fortune 100 list that continues to positively exceed their revenue targets despite today’s uncertain economy.  They have an absolutely impressive balance sheet; in fact they have an enviable track record of consecutive yearly growth in sales and in earnings per share. Due to significant growth they currently have an opening for a Finance Manager position.  

The selected candidate will work with all disciplines within the Real Estate and other divisions of the organization to develop and support financial models that easily allow managers to assess the economic impact of proposed capital projects. This position provides tactical support and analysis for key projects and initiatives in Strategic Finance.  We are looking for a financial professional who is ready to take their career up a notch and one who has a passion for customer satisfaction and are prepared to make a difference in a learning organization.

DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

v      Working with a variety of internal customers on capital investment decisions, financial analysis, and strategic projects – these customers may include:

US Real Estate
US Strategy
Information Systems Division
Sustainability
Logistics and Transportation
Energy
Excess Properties Disposition
Senior Finance Leadership and many other divisions of the company

v      Utilizing and reviewing complex financial models, which may include:

Net present value, Internal Rate of Return, time value of money, ROI financing
Lease vs. own analysis
CAPM/WACC
Capital structure analysis
Multi-linear regression and statistical analysis
Risk quantification and mitigation of such risks
Establishing and refreshing key base assumptions

v      Operational support of Real Estate investment opportunities and deals throughout the life cycle of the deal.

v      Measuring the results of past investments to understand portfolio performance and to inform the company’s judgment for future investment decisions.

v      Assisting internal customers with an understanding of finance theory.

v      Supporting the technical and modeling needs of customers and members of the leadership team.

v      Communicate methods, theory, and financial rationale in a clear and credible way to key company leaders.

v      Responding to ad-hoc requests for financial and strategic analysis from members of the senior leadership team.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

v      Demonstrated Finance experience and business acumen

v       2+ years applicable work experience in finance or accounting

v      An undergraduate degree with emphasis in Finance

v      Strong quantitative modeling ability

v      Proven interpersonal, collaborative, and team-building skills

v      Strong oral and written communication skills

v      Demonstrated presentation skills – good executive presence

v      A strong sense of urgency to get quality results quickly

ADDITONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

v      An MBA degree

v      Experience working with senior management on high-impact projects

v      Proficiency in Microsoft Access, VBA, Minitab, and related software

v      Strong abilities in Excel and PowerPoint

v      Demonstrated project management skills

v      Real Estate experience

v      Retail experience

v      Experience working with cross-functional teams

v      Time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple project and processes

v      Strong systems and technology acumen
