The Controller will play a lead role in the activities of the first Siemens U.S. Wind manufacturing facility in Fort Madison, Iowa. As part of the senior plant management team, the Controller will implement and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions for a start-up plant with 250 employees. They must have a strong desire to participate in a new, exciting, and growing industry and be able to turn ambiguous situations into best practices. They must also work to inspire and motivate staff in this emerging industry.

Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background including financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, controlling and forecasting skills. Financial experience within a manufacturing facility strongly desired. SAP experience a plus. Must be able to work in a matrix organizational structure with minimal supervision. 10+ years of directly related experience is required.

Job Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Plant Manager and matrix to the Manufacturing Financial Head in Denmark and U.S. Wind Financial Head in Orlando, FL. The Controller will be responsible for setting up and managing all accounting, financial and IT functions for the plant including hiring staff, creating budgets and forecasts, and establishing and enforcing Siemens policies and procedures.
