UC Davis Health System, Budget and Decision Support Department, located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Finance Analyst to provide provide complex analysis of clinical and financial data and is responsible for design, modification, and maintenance for UCDHS Management Reporting and development of the Decision Line application.  Incumbent will also support Budget functions such as: financial analysis, budget variance analysis, bench marking, cost reductions, clinical effectiveness, long-term financial and business planning, and monthly financial processes.

 

Experience with TSI/Eclipsys is preferred.  Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Business Finance is preferred. Demonstrated professional level of analytical, statistical and mathematical skills to conduct complex quantitative analyses. Demonstrated proficiency in project management, presentations and project documentation.  Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet functions including formulas, pivot tables, logicals, look ups etc.   Experience in the design of report formats, extraction of data, and development of financial and statistical reports. Ability to do self-directed research on clinical programs, payor requirements, health care trends and other topics as needed to perform job functions. Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, presentation, project tracking, spreadsheet and database packages.  Proficient in E-mail and on-line communication programs.  Ability to understand programming principles related to projects and to integrate these with personal computer applications.  Ability to design programming specifications and implement them.
