Field Service Operations Dispatcher
Granite Telecommunications has several openings for Field Service Dispatchers. Our dispatchers are responsible for dispatching service orders to a variety of vendors across the country in order to resolve our customers' telecom issues The dispatcher must update changes in the system and and communicate these changes to the proper departments. It is critical that this person have excellent phone skills and written communication skills. Familiarity with telecommunications is required.
Responsibilities include:
Dispatching service orders via phone and e-mail requests across the country for telecom issues. Sending completed tickets to Vendor selected via e-mail, fax and vendor web sites. Answering calls from technicians on site, assisting them in finding and testing lines as well as resolving issues. Taking closeouts from the techs and posting into open tickets. Billing out completed tickets; rescheduling or assigning incomplete tickets. Following up actions w/ the Premier team and acting as liaison between the Reps to the locations and the onsite techs. Answering and resolving issues on e-mails relating to the Field Service Ops group. Posting Signout sheets to completed tickets. Following up on any issues and corresponding with the proper channels until job is competed.
Mandatory/Minimum Requirements:
* 1+ years experience in the telecom industry, specifically field tech experience.
* Excellent PC skills including Windows, Word, Outlook and web-based applications. * * Typing skills are a MUST.
* Excellent communications skills in both verbal and written form.
* Ability to multi task and follow issues through to completion
* Decision making skills
* Must be focused and possess the ability to resolve problems efficiently.
Desirable:
*Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter.
*Motivated team player who also has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
