JOB TITLE:       Field Service TechnicianDEPARTMENT: Field Operations

 

REPORTS TO: Regional Operations Manager

 

LOCATION OF JOB:       Based in the Central Texas area – travel within Region

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

 

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Field Technician is responsible for daily troubleshooting, on-site service and installation duties.  The qualified candidate will have very strong communications skills and possess a customer centric focus.  Candidate will be responsible for installation, upgrading, service and maintenance of video surveillance (CCTV), alarm, and computer networking equipment.  This position is full-time and includes 24/7 on-call duties.  Availability for overnight travel and extended project work is required.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Most frequent duties in order of importance)

 

Daily hands on field interaction with customers at a site level and some smaller customer care levelsWorking in the field directly on the most efficient way to solve service issues (remotely as well as on site)Proper request of site service equipment needs through DispatchCommunication with ROM’s, PM’s and Dispatch on all events to maintain effectivenessInstallation work as neededCustomer Training as neededTraining, placing systems on lineTrouble shooting service issues remotely and on site if needed.Ability to travel for 2-3 weeks a month 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: (Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge)

 

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986.Licensing at state and local levelsPossess a clean criminal record and be able to pass background checkPossess a good driving record

 

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: (Computer skills, Software knowledge, Equipment experience…)
