Field Service Engineer – Kansas

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Medical Equipment Management division’s Field Service Team of a highly successful, growing & innovative company. We are seeking an independent, action oriented senior Field Service Engineer (BMET II or III) which will be based in Manhattan, Kansas and also servicing other areas in the region.
Job Summary:
Perform service work in accordance with established policies and procedures of the HSS Medical Equipment Management division.
Responsibilities:
· Repair and maintain medical and specialty equipment in a professional, effective manner consistent with community standards and the standards of the HSS Medical Equipment Management division with a very high degree of autonomy.
· Perform scheduled inspections (PM/QA testing) in accordance with division standards and practices.
· Be able to document all service work in database in accurate manner; both PM/QA and repair.
· Be familiar with and support the operation of an Equipment Management Program for HSS customers.
· Stay abreast of changes in technology within the individual specialty.
· Perform other related biomedical project work as assigned by the customer or HSS manager.
· Possess a very high degree of communication & customer service skills.
Ability to work as a part of a team and independently.
· Travel approximately 30% within the region.
Qualifications:
· Associates degree preferably in engineering technology or science plus 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
· Certification in a related field is desirable; compulsory if required by law. Must be eligible for ICC/AAMI certification.
Ability to operate electronic and specialized test equipment; troubleshoot equipment faults; perform quality assurance testing on a variety of medical equipment; communicate effectively; manage service documentation; deal effectively with medical staff.
Must be able to meet HSS’ driving standards and possess a valid Kansas driver license.
