As Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of Welch Allyn systems products at hospitals, clinics and doctor’s offices within your assigned territory.  Your territory will cover the Southern US, although you will be required at times to cover other territories in the domestic US.  Ideal home office locations could be Dallas–Texas, Atlanta–Georgia or any city in the Southern US with close proximity to a major airport.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing product expertise on the Welch Allyn Cardio product line, you will work with the assigned field team for field support, including but not limited to: system installations, post-sales support, troubleshooting, upgrades and repairs within medical facilities, that meet or exceed customer requirements.  You will also provide on-site technical training to Biomedical Engineers, system administrators, as well as train and develop identified third-party service contractors.  Your excellent communication and coordination skills will allow you to drive functional communication between the sales representative, third party partners/distributors and the customer for field-based activity.  Your superior organizational skills will aid you in staying on track while identifying and scheduling multiple projects simultaneously throughout your territory. 

Required Background:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field coupled with Biomedical, IT or clinical training, including certifications, as well as demonstrated experience in field service, hospital or clinical support is required.  Your technical background ideally includes MCSE, MCSA, or MCDBA certification, HL7 programming, troubleshooting and diagnosing technical hardware, network and software problems in complex systems, in addition to experience installing wireless networks, LANs, UNIX, or Windows based systems.  This position requires 80% travel throughout your territory.  You have a customer service first attitude, as well as, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
