SP Industries, Inc. located in Warminster, PA, a leading manufacturer of specialty equipment for the domestic and international pharmaceutical, food, laboratory, and chemical industries is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer for the Mid Atlantic region
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Respond courteously and professionally to customers locations that have requested service on their evaporation equipment due to mechanical, electrical or software malfunctions. Travel required.
Efficiently and effectively diagnose malfunction and obtain required solution
Installation and customer training of new equipment
Preventative Maintenance as scheduled
Arrange for return of replaced parts or components when requested
Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and fax. To include but not limited to:
· Supplying technical information
· Supplying documentation
· Quoting parts and service
· Updating customer database
Assist in demonstrations and sales presentations when required
Qualifications
Mechanical Aptitude a must
Diverse background in refrigeration, fluids, plumbing , electrical, vacuum, software and controls desired
Electronic and software knowledge desired
Must be able to read schematics/printsKnowledge of PLC controlsProgramming knowledge of Visual Basic, Intellution, iFix, LabView a plusGood verbal and written skills
Computer experience
Diagnostic abilities
Courteous, calm customer service skills
Good organization and follow up skills
High School diploma and technical training
Heavy lifting required
Travel Required
