I.              POSITION SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, act as customer factory liaison for product reliability of Continuous Product Improvement activities at the customer site.   Support all aspects of a specific customer account from sales support to equipment performance improvement programs. 

 

II.            POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.             Respond to customer requests for technical service.

2.             Provide training to customers.

3.             Provide technical assistance to the Sales Department.

                4.             Provide trouble shooting and/or repair suggestions to customer technicians and engineers.

5.             Perform on-site installations and repairs of equipment, follow established testing procedures to ensure proper working order.

6.             Monitor product reliability, analyze performance data and submit product improvement suggestions to engineering.

7                     Domestic and international travel required (up to 20%)

8                     Must possess communication skills, verbally and written.

9                     Must possess good presentation skills as well as effective verbal, written and computer communications.

10                  Must be able to manage a “Benchmark Program” or “Machine Evaluation”.

11                  Must be able to chair user group meetings and publish minutes.

12                  Must possess and demonstrate data base skills.

13                  Must possess report generation skills to develop account ownership profiles and publish on a weekly basis.

14                  Able to do low level design.

15                  Must demonstrate Interface Application trouble shooting.

16                  Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of customer management and develop constructive relationships within the customer’s organization.

17                  Must be able to interface effectively with Delta factory product specialists, engineering, manufacturing and sales to drive customer issues to closure.

 

III.           POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum Education: Associates degree in Electronic Engineering.

 

Minimum Experience:   Eight+ years as an Electro/mechanical technician and five years customer service experience or equivalent experience.

 

Skills:  Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and detailed blueprints; use common tools and mechanical fixtures; possess advanced Electro-mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills; ability to use diagnostic terminal at advanced level; working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

 

Physical Demands/Strength: Prolonged bending, kneeling, crawling, and laying down, ability to stand for eight hours, lift up to 50 pounds.
