W. L. Gore & Associates’ Electronic Products Division is looking to hire an energetic Field Sales Associate to join our California-based team. The majority of this commitment will be spent in the Bay area, with limited focus on Southern California. The associate would be responsible for identifying and developing applications in the high-technology Data Networking and Computing market along with expanding our presence within our existing accounts in California.   The successful candidate for this position will be chartered with identifying, developing, and growing the business in this dynamic geography.  Excellent teamwork and communication with Field Sales, Application Engineers, and Technical Associates will be critical to the success of this endeavor. The daily responsibilities of this Associate include, but are not limited to:  ·        Developing business in the Electronic Products Division’s targeted industry segments including: Data Networking and Computing·        Account management responsibilities·        Develop and implement territory plans for target business objectives·        Provide accurate sales forecasts·        Develop strong relationships with decision-makers·        Sell and promote electronic products in all areas and applications, as well as new product introductions ·        University degree (technical degree preferred) or equivalent training and / or work experience ·        Minimum of five (5) years of successful sales and market development experience·        Background in digital and RF electronics ·        Interconnect market experience preferred·        Ability to understand and effectively communicate customer application details to product and manufacturing teams·        Excellent written and oral communication skills with high computer literacy·        Willingness to travel (20-30% overnight)·        Self-motivated, strong organizational skills·        Has a current and valid driver’s license
