JOB SUMMARY:

Repair and maintain IntelliPipe, IntelliLink, and IntelliJar products in maintenance facilities close to customer operations domestic and international locations.  Specific activities include: working with mechanical tools to test, remove, and replace inductive coils and armored coaxial cables in wired drill string components; working with electronic equipment to test and qualify wired drill string components after repair; trouble shooting and replacement of electronics packages within downhole amplification/measurement tools; testing and replacement of lithium battery packs within downhole amplification/measurement tools.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Incumbent must possess Associates degree in Engineering, physicals science, or related technical field

·        Strong electronic, mechanical, and electrical skills

·        Incumbent must possess a strong work ethic, possess reasoning and problem-resolution skills, and be able to work well under pressure and without direct supervision.

·        Excellent written and spoken English language skills and interpersonal communications skills are required. 

·        Incumbent must be able to work with people of varied backgrounds and myriad objectives, accurately document all work related activities, and reach consensus on complex issues in a timely manner, and manage complex, interrelated tasks in an efficient, effective and timely manner

·        Ability to write reports and other business correspondence

·        Ability to effectively present information in group setting

·        Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

·        Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

 

Preference will be given to the candidates that possess the following:

·        Bilingual or multilingual skills

·        Prior knowledge of IntelliServ network hardware

 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 

 Record, document, and certify repair and maintenance activities in standard format for electronic submittal and reviewRecord and document accurate expenses related to deployment activities.Maintain current compliance with all corporate procedures and standard operating protocols related to departmental activities and general corporate guidelinesWhen not working at remote facilities candidate will work within Provo organization to support manufacturing, engineering, and/or field support teams as neededUnderstand and accurately communicate, verbally and in writing, the technical and non-technical aspects of the Grant Prideco and IntelliServ drilling products line and well site development activitiesIdentify and contribute to improvements in processes by actively seeking to refine current standards and practices leading to an identifiable increase of quality, efficiency, or productivity.Work autonomously, or under limited supervision, to complete designated responsibilities within the scope of Grant Prideco and IntelliServ’s corporate mandates and policies.Inspect pipe for defects and excessive wear.  Test pipe against pass/fail criteria. Tear down and assemble Jars and IntelliServ pipe components.  Replace batteries on links and swivels.  Pressure-test all components.  Manage data and test results for reporting.
