Job Purpose:

 Candidate will resolve claims by investigating losses; negotiating out-of-court settlements; presenting evidence in legal proceedings. This is a Resident Adjuster's position for Little Rock, Arkansas.

Duties:

* Determines insurance coverage by examining claim forms, policies, and other records; interviewing claimant and witnesses; consulting police and hospital records; inspecting property damage.

* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

* Resolves questionable claims by investigating claim; comparing claim information with evidence.

* Settles claims by determining insurance carrier's liability; reaching agreement with claimant according to policy provisions.

* Recommends litigation by analyzing negotiated settlement options; evaluating evidence.

* Presents evidence at legal proceedings by testifying and producing reports and other documents as evidence.

* Maintains insurance product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
