Triumph has an immediate opening for a Travel coordinator to work on a contract at the US Agency for International Development in Washington, D.C. The Travel Coordinator manages all aspects of travel for the Global Health Bureau (GH). These duties range from routine tasks such as travel reservations and processing USAID travel arrangements to more complex tasks such as database maintenance and travel budget tracking. The Travel Coordinator monitors the flow of documents and the timely issuance of airline tickets, and acts as liaison between the travelers, authorizing signatories and the USAID Travel Office. The Travel Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with monthly and quarterly reports detailing travel performed and planned by direct hires and non-direct hires in GH. The individual must develop a working knowledge of USAID travel policies and guidelines, as well as corporate practices and procedures.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

Reports to the Senior Travel Coordinator on the status of travel activities.
Requests airline and hotel reservations and itinerary preparation.
Prepares and processes USAID travel documentation using a dedicated computer program.
Ensures all visa and passport arrangements are completed in a timely fashion.
Obtains country clearances when appropriate; and ensures these clearances are in accordance with USAID guidance.
Advises travelers regarding concurrence documents from field missions.
Prepares Requests and Authorization for Official Travel and Travel Voucher for each traveler or trip.
Estimates travel costs using USAID guidelines for per diem and reimbursement.
Assist with creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and charts to track the travel budget and for use with quarterly reports to USAID executive staff detailing the purpose, number of trips, and cost of all GH direct-hire travel.
Assist with creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets of all GH non-direct hire travel.
Acts as liaison between traveler, document signatories, and airline ticketing agent.
Required Clearance:

A Secret Clearance is required; we will sponsor.


Required Education

A High School diploma is required; college coursework preferred.


Required Skills & Experience 4 years of general office experience, with at least two years spending significant time (25% or more) making federal government travel arrangements.
Thorough knowledge of federal government travel policies, procedures, regulations and travel software.
Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail applications.
The ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, as well as to work within tight schedule constraints, is critical.
Must possess the skills necessary to resolve conflicts and respond promptly to the ever-changing demands of travelers.
Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills are required.
