We are seeking a Financial Tax Director for our Corporate Accounting Group, located in our beautiful World Headquarters in East Texas (Pittsburg).
This key individual will be responsible for the preparation of all financial income tax workpapers and the recording of financial income taxes on a monthly basis. Responsibilities include complying with all requirements of all financial accounting standards and requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission over the recording of income taxes. Also responsible for the management of the Sales and Use Tax Compliance Group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of function in accordance with objectives of organization.
• Confers with organization officials to plan objectives, to develop related policies and to coordinate functions.
• Compilation of data based on financial results, tax studies and analyses of past and current years to prepare the financial income taxes and to justify financial income taxes reported.
• Direct the activities of the Sales and Use Tax Compliance Group.
• Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
• Submits reports to executives of organization with recommendations for budget revisions.
• May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
• Serves as the liaison between financial accounting and the Income Tax Compliance Group.
• Works with Income Tax Compliance Group on state tax nexus issues.
• May be required to travel and work outside of normal business hours.
EDUCATION: Requires a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
EXPERIENCE:
Requires 7+ years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
SFAS 109 experience
Income Tax Accounting - FAS
Supervision over Sales and Use tax.
Federal & Multi-state experience.
Nexus Experience.
CPA Required
