Looking for a qualified and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a contract position at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.  The position is a contract for one year with 4 years optional to renew/extend.

Out Patient clinic hours are 7:30a-4:30p, Monday through Friday [paid for hours worked only].Current Military or Government Employees need not apply.This is a Government Contract position through our company.May be required to travel within the region of primary duty location on an as needed basis.1 year contract with 4 option to extend years.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

Must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center [ANCC].Be a currently licensed Nurse Practitioner in good standing.Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting within the last 2 years.Posses a current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support [BCLS].US Citizenship and able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Duties/Specific Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to eligible military health care system beneficiaries.Obtain adequate history, physical, assessment and develop treatment plan in a timely and appropriate manner on each patient.Utilize paraprofessional staff as appropriate.Consult with physician when a patient presents with the same unresolved complaint twice in a single episode of care or when otherwise appropriate.Complete all required paperwork.Initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.Follow up on abnormal reports. Abnormal x-rays and lab reports received on patients seen by Contract NP shall be reviewed by the contract NP at the time these reports are available for review. Each report shall be reviewed within 3 days of its receipt.Prescribe medications in accordance with privileges granted and hospital rules and regulations.Prepare and document appropriate history physical exams, and diagnosis. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with hospital directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy. Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete.Review all medical history and progress of patients. Examine patients, make diagnosis of disease, disaster, or injury, and treat patient or prescribe a course of treatment. Abide by all facility rules, regulations and policies.Adhere to the Center for Disease Control guidelines concerning universal precautions and the Military Treatment Facility Infection Control Program at all times while providing services under this contract.Perform all duties in a manner that they meet all JCAHO Standards.Provide all administrative duties necessary.
