POSITION TITLE:            Facility Operations Manager

FUNCTIONAL TITLE:     Facility Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Manage, operate and maintain a commercial Satellite Processing and Space Launch Facility at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

1.         Comprehensive knowledge is required of HVAC Systems including                                          

•           Knowledge of National Electrical and Fire Codes

•           Automated Controls including software logic

•           Automated Maintenance Management and Scheduling

•           Automated Work Order Management

•           Inventory & spares control & Life Cycle maintenance

•           Clean Room Operations

•           ESH compliance experience

•           Value based engineering experience

2.         Leadership skills to include:

•           Supervision of facility engineering staff

•           Customer operations

•           Facility modifications

•           Interaction with Air Force, contractor and vendor representatives

3.         Engineering services

4.         Procurement Experience

5.         Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

FREEDOM TO ACT:           Reports to the  Director of Operations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

            Education:        4 Yr Degree is required for this position

Experience:       experience in facility engineering, operations, activation and modification

Security Clearance required for this position

Launch base processing and operations management is desirable

Former military service and high computer literacy are pluses

SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Security Clearance is a requirement for the position
