The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the overall performance and profitability of a Transportation, Flow Through or Warehouse facility. The primary duties of a Facility Manager include the following:

Oversee all aspects of operations, administration, and customer service within the facilityEnsure maximum return on revenue through effective operational planning and business developmentResponsible for training and development of personnelEnsure compliance with all federal, state, or local regulatory agencies. (i.e. OSHA, DOT)Recruit and/or contract personnel to meet the requirements of current and projected business within the facilityIntermittently perform the work of each aspect of the facility to provide support and guidanceWeekly performance reporting, review of facility financials, and various audit compliance for internal/external customersRelationship development and negotiation with vendors, as neededAbility to develop effective plan, integrate and handle existing and new business, as neededFunction as liaison between corporate groups and facility personnelEnsure a clean, properly organized, safe, and healthy environment for all personnel, including all facilities and equipment in a good state of repair

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics or related degree and/or equivalent experience5 years experience in warehousing (operations, sales, or combination)Proven track record in leading/managing distribution operations Knowledge of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations (Federal Maritime Commissions, Interstate Commerce Commission, U.S. Customs,environmental, import/export, maritime, human resources)Demonstrated strong leadership, business planning, financial analysis, negotiation and customer satisfaction skillsDemonstrated knowledge of effective organization and project management skillsAbility to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity and rapid changeExcellent interpersonal, communication, change management and presentation skills (written and verbal)Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve customer complaints and problems and restore or maintain business 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master Degree Supply Chain Management or related degreeAbility to travelLanguage proficiency other than English
