Pace, the Suburban Bus Company has a Facilities Specification Writer position available at our headquarters in Arlington Heights, IL.  Prepares scopes of work and writes technical specifications for the replacement and repair of building equipment and facility infrastructure, schedules work with outside contractors, inspects work underway, troubleshoots equipment and building failures to determine next course of action, writes technical specifications for building system upgrades and repairs and replacement,  writes scope of work for inspection and service repair to equipment and buildings (calibration/testing of fume sensing, cross connection certifications, inspection testing of emergency generators, fire detection, HVAC, etc.), evaluates costs for repairs, services, and improvements, periodically inspects work underway by contractors. Qualified candidate must have eight to ten years of experience with buildings and mechanical equipment. Must have excellent writing skills and familiarity with building trades.  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Certified Construction Specifier a plus.  Please send resume and salary history to:  PACE/ AT, Human Resources, 550 W.
