GENERAL SUMMARY:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Essential Job Functions)

The engineer will support a federal agency’s facilities engineering staff located in a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC.

The engineer provides management and technical assistance as required in support of the following areas:

· Energy Conservation.

· Energy Efficiency

· Renewable Energy

· Petroleum Reduction and Alternative Fuels

· Sustainable Building (LEED) programs for both new and existing facilities

· Recycling programs

· Waste Recovery

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Five years experience in facilities management positions of increasing responsibilityDemonstrated ability to work in an independent setting.Experience developing and managing energy conservation and efficiency programs for industrial operations Experience evaluating facilities for LEED certification Facilities related program management experience Familiar with EVMS principles and evaluation of EVMS data.Experience with developing program level schedules from multiple projects. Proficiency with MS Project is required; proficiency with Primavera P6 is desirable.Familiarity with MS Access desired. Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
