Director of Construction is responsible for project management of all phases of new store construction sites and remodels of existing restaurants along with overseeing the Repairs and Maintenance Department and the Real Estate Department. 

Directs all phases of construction and remodels (including work preformed by the Repairs and Maintenance Department on new buildings, remodels, etc.) Oversee the Real Estate Department.Directly accountable for budget development, phasing plans, schedules, bidding, negotiation and award and construction administration.  Interact with developers, architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure compliance with all policies, best practice standards, and approved budget. Visit construction projects to ensure that plans, specifications, codes and regulations are being observed and followed. Monitor progress of each contractor and inspect all work for proper workmanship consistent with contracts. Develop workflow schedules to accommodate design and construction schedules.Ensures all project development activities are performed in a timely manner.  Review and approve for payment all invoices submitted.The

 

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering or Business required or a combination of relevant education and experience.5+ years experience in design and construction preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industriesDemonstrated knowledge of state and local construction codes, architectural design standards, ADA requirements, OSHA safety requirements, and related regulatory implications.
