DescriptionThe position of Senior Extension Associate: EEO/Diversity within the Extension/Outreach Division of Cornell's ILR School reports to the MDHRM (Management Development /Human Resource Management) Program Leader and is based in ILR's New York City conference center.
The Senior Extension Associate is responsible for: EEO/Diversity programs and administration;Developing and overseeing delivery of programs and services that are closely aligned with the strategic mission and core values of the ILR School; Refer to http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/mgmtprog/ for current portfolio, activities; Recruiting, supporting and supervising adjunct faculty and consultants who deliver programs. This includes robust linking to resident faculty/SMEs within ILR (on the main campus in Ithaca, NY) and throughout Cornell; Monitoring quality, impact, and outcomes of education, training, technical assistance, consulting and research activities of programs, offerings and related services/products;The Senior Extension Associate will participate with other extension faculty in setting MDHRM goals and will annually set individual programmatic and budgetary goals with the MDHRM Program Lead. Senior Extension Associates are term academic positions which may be appointed for terms of up to five years and may be reappointed on the basis of recommendations by the MDHRM Lead and Associate Dean.
Several "profiles" of education and experience are of interest:Combination of law degree plus legal practice in EEO or Master's degree plus solid corporate or Federal agency experience (minimum 5 years) in EEO and Diversity or Advanced degree/doctorate plus academic background in organizational behavior/other behavioral sciences plus track record of research and publication on diversity topics or Strong education credentials (minimum master's degree) and eight to ten years related consulting experience. Successful candidates may come from university, corporate, government, and/or legal practice backgrounds. Will assume responsibility for an existing portfolio, review for gaps and position for entrepreneurial possibilities, develop and solidify relations with SMEs, Cornell ILR resident faculty and external thought leaders, clients. Experience with blended/distance/e-learning highly desirable.Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
