Nalco has an opening for an Export Supervisor in our Logistics Group located in Sugar Land, TX. The Export Supervisor will primarily be responsible for the NES WAO Export Operations Group. Works with other departments to identify, define and solve various export operations problems with the intent to improve customer service, generate productivity and service improvements. Develops export processes, designs and documents the design to ensure conformance with applicable export department standards. Reviews and analyzes current Export systems, procedures and operations to ensure compliance with US and Nalco export policies. Establishes the feasibility of making systems and procedures more efficient and cost effect. Manages order to cash process for WAO operations.
Other Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Creates customer/stock transport orders. Generates export documentation and invoices coordinating inspections, either preshipment or destination inspection, as required by destination country. Works with suppliers/Nalco plants to order and coordinate raw materials and intermediates to meet boat schedules. Maintains relationships with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, trucking firms as required to ensure goods are not bumped from vessels, and that containers are picked up and delivered on-time. Supports inventory management policies defined for West Africa Operations through timely order placement and shipment. Assist with resolving system related delays and product set up issues. Work with Nalco Export group on system related issues to ensure continued continuity in procedures and processes Monitors performance of the group through open order report, shipped not invoiced etc., assisting the group to resolve late orders and delayed invoicing.
The minimum qualifications the candidate will have include: Requires a bachelors degree with an advanced degree preferred and 8 or more years experience in import/export and logistics. Up to date computer skills are essential, including the ability to manage data bases and spreadsheets. Must have strong process skills, technical, communication skills, coupled with in-depth knowledge of business and international supply chain application areas. SAP knowledge is a plus.
