Experienced Program Manager / Systems Migration

Intrinsic is looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead the migration of multiple corporate systems – all relatively small -  to a more centralized platform and location.  These applications are generally smaller corporate functions such as planning & budgeting, risk, investor relations, internal audit, and others that are supported by everything from COTS software to MS-Access, Lotus Notes, and other toolsets.  This initial phase is more a migration of the distributed applications to a centralized data center.  Evaluation and re-implementation of the applications will occur in the next phase as part of a larger effort.  Someone who has managed multiple projects and project managers at one time – particularly migration projects – and who has experience interfacing with IBM in a data center environment would do well.  This role requires the classic  program management, resource management, management of project interdependencies and timelines, program reporting, meeting/schedule management, and budget management.  Experience managing distributed systems projects is required.  Some project or program management experience in Financial Services will be helpful, but not mandatory.  A PMP or CAPM certification is helpful, but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to interface with both business and technology stakeholders. This initially is a contract position, but could turn into a permanent hire in the future for the right individuals.

The current engagement is based in NYC, but will entail significant (e.g., ~ 30%) travel to Phoenix Arizona.  While the initial statement of work runs on a calendar year basis, there is a high likelihood that the implementation of new platforms once the systems are migrated will occur over a multi-year program.  A valued program manager would have the potential to remain in place for such multi-year effort. 

The hourly rate being offered is $75 - $100 per hour, depending on experience, on a full time basis.  While non metro NYC candidates will be considered, our client prefers consultants who live within commuting distance of NYC.  Travel expenses to Phoenix will be reimbursed
