Our client, a successful and leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical and nutritional products for over 80 years, is currently seeking Scientific Formulator for Product Development group. This position will have leadership opportunities and will report directly to the VP of Product Development. Position is a direct hire opportunity thru Kelly Scientific Resources, Denver CO. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Responsible for formulation development, optimization, robust formula and process development for solid dosage and liquid form pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements. ' Responsible for establishing associated component specifications and master batch records. ' Responsible for successful formula scale-up. ' Troubleshoot commercial formulations. ' Supervise and provide guidance and direction to assigned technicians. ' Assist in evaluating new equipment. REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS: ' MS in a pharmaceutical-related science with minimum of 7 years experience directly related to formulation development, scale-up and manufacturing of pharmaceutical drug products. ' Preferred experience with solid dosage forms including sustained release and oral liquids. ' Requires good knowledge of GMP related to pharmaceutical manufacturing. ' Flexibility of working hours required. ' Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. ' Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision. This position is a Direct Hire opportunity thru Kelly Scientific Resources, Monday to Friday working 8 am to 5 pm. Pay range is $85-100K annually and will be based upon experience.
