Our Client, located in Northern Nevada is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef with the following skills and/or abilities: 

 

Confident with ability to pass a very thorough FBI-Like Background Check.

 

5 or more years Hotel / Casino Pastry Chef experience with emphasis on high end and high volume.

 

Responsible for managing, directing and producing high quality, consistent pastries and baked goods for all outlets on Property.

 

Experience creating high level products in all aspects of Pastry: including pastries, breads, sugar and chocolate showpieces, wedding cakes, etcetera.

 

Experience working in an atmosphere having progressive food thought…

 

Comfortable working in conjunction with the Executive Chef for specialty parties, banquets and other major functions.

 

Comfortable with having a visible presence and the skills to converse with guests.

 

Must have leadership, team building, interpersonal and managerial skills.

 

Must be able to train, develop and motivate team.

 

Able to manage food and labor costs based on budgetary needs.

 

Able to handle daily ordering and inventory procedures.

 

Experience establishing quarterly benchmarking.

 

Experience meeting with Executive Steward daily to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of work plant.

 

Culinary Degree a definite plus.

 

Must have basic computer skills in Word and Excel

 

Knowledge of Stratton Warren or similar software.
