· Bachelor's degree of equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
· Significant experience (10+ years) of progressively responsible management positions, preferably in a health plan environment.

· Proven strategic visionary ability.

Health Plan - VP Sales
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
--Collaborates with sales management in developing long and short term marketing plans. Develops
comprehensive marketing plans to meet overall business objectives.
--Provides management oversight in the areas of advertising and company communications. Develops
and implements the overall communications strategy for assigned area.
--May oversee the proposal process. Ensures support to the sales and service organization meets or
exceeds overall objectives.
--Oversees the design, development and implementation of new products that meet the customer’s needs
and organizational goals. Encourages new product ideas and fosters shared understanding of
product/market concepts that are pertinent to target markets.
--May manage the creation and delivery of direct mail programs. Maintains and expands direct mail databases to increase plan enrollment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
--Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
--Appropriate state licensure to sell insurance as required or Ability to obtain an Louisiana Life & Health license.
--Thorough understanding of marketing and sales principles and techniques, previous experience in product management, particularly pertaining to mid-large group products.
--Extensive experience in marketing, and direct sales, and product management within the HMO/healthcare or insurance industry. At least 6 years of experience in a management role.
--Excellent interpersonal, leadership, negotiation and communication skills; strong analytic and problem solving abilities.
