Executive Director
This position exists to oversee the local functioning of corporate operational systems, develop and expand the revenue performance and business potential of the hospice; responsible for the patient and family services program at the hospice while representing the company in the community. Establish and maintain standards of high quality care and customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Maintain compliance with all legal rules and regulations. Meet growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area.
Requirements
1) Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
2) Knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit preferred.
3) Experience in health care sales and/or management with P&L responsibility.
4) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience and knowledge required. Masters degree in business or related field preferred.
5) Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements.
6) Understanding of Hospice care and the services provided to patient/family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary team.
7) Minimum age requirement of 18.
8) Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
9) Demonstrated history of sales and profit growth.
10) Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices and state and local administrative licensure requirements.
11) Valid driver’s license with maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements and is in good working order.
12) Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
13) Satisfactory criminal background check.
14) Must be computer literate.
15) Excellent observation and communication skills.
16) Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
17) Ability to relate to superiors, peers, and subordinates
