Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, Marlton, NJ
Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital (WCRH) is an acute care pediatric rehabilitation hospital with inpatient services, medical day care programs (on-site and off-site locations), and active outpatient therapy programs. Programs offered include: Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program, Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Neonatal Transitional Program. Patients are aged birth to 21. Patient conditions include post-NICU babies, ventilator-dependent infants and children, brain injury, trauma, ortho, spinal cord injury, failure to thrive, feeding dysplagias, and newborn abstinence for infants of drug addicted mothers.
Reporting to the hospital Administrator, the Executive Director of Nursing will provide leadership for Nursing and development of the leadership team, and contribute to the multi-faceted activities to meet the needs of the organization. The Executive Director will develop and uphold high standards. Is accountable to ensure compliance with various regulatory agencies. Direct reports include: Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator, Staffing Coordinator, Clinical Liaison, Nutrition Coordinator, Infection Control and Employee Health Professional, Unit Secretary and Day Hospital Coordinator. There are ~50 staff, including: RNs, LPNs, NAs and 1:1 care providers. Staff and Patient-Family Satisfaction is excellent. The entire team at WCRH are family-centered and focused on the children, with passion to do what is best for them. There is strong interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration throughout the organization.
Ideal candidates for this position will have strong leadership abilities and management experience. Rehabilitation experience is necessary; pediatric experience is preferred. The Executive Director must be flexible, with ability to multi-task, as well as to delegate. Also important are confidence, capacity to make decisions independently, and ability to address and solve problems. RN is required, along with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (NJ regulation); also must possess or attain CRRN certification within 2 years (NJ regulation).
