Currently Sony Pictures Television International is seeking an Executive Director, Financial Planning for its Culver City, CA office.  This individual will be responsible for the following:

 

Manage and direct sales/revenue budgeting and forecasting process for all international regions.  Monitor revenue and ebit performance against targets and help identify opportunities/risks.  Assess and communicate financial results with VP.Oversee preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, annual mid-range plan, monthly flash.  Prepare and direct ad hoc analyses and management reporting.  Manage and direct planning for SPTI-Distribution overhead, and coordinate consolidated SPTI overhead in collaboration with International Networks and Production; monitor spend against targets, help drive initiatives and prepare executive presentations.Collaborate with Receivables Management group on cash planning and performance matters, and with SPE divisional finance groups on product distribution forecast and performance.  Coordinate with and help lead accounting group to ensure alignment between planning and financial reporting.Interpret and evaluate new deals and related data. Identify and recommending operational and contractual improvements.Develop and oversee modeling to evaluate economics on proposed deals. Drive greenlight funding recommendations and approval documents as required. Direct set up and maintenance of acquisition ultimates. Evaluate competitive industry and historical trends in comparison to SPTI results.Develop and maintain relationships with worldwide operations/sales/finance teams.Drive budget-related IT projects; develop and test reports. Streamline and refine forecasting processes.Manage projects with the VP/CFO.Manage resources inside the planning group.

 

Skills Needed:

 

·         B.S./ B.A. preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.

·         Strong level of communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Strong level of project management and planning skills.

·         Strong level of Finance and Accounting skills.

·         Superior computer knowledge in a Windows environment (specifically Excel).

·         Experience with SAP preferred.

·         Strong leadership/employee management skills.

·         Ability to operate effectively in a cross functional team environment.

·         Ability to identify issues and appropriate resolutions.

·         Ability to translate concepts into actionable items.

·         8 - 10+ years work experience preferred.

·         Entertainment knowledge strongly preferred.
