Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: Based in Burbank, the Executive Director, Brand Strategy will work closely with the VP, Brand Management to create and implement global franchise strategies for Disney Channel brands worldwide. Properties will include Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and other Disney channel properties. Responsibilities include: Create global integrated brand plans working across all divisions of TWDC including home video, records and consumer products focused on long-term strategies that launch, build and sustain key franchise priorities. As part of the global planning, create talent strategies, tent pole events, and retail initiatives to anchor franchise plans both globally and regionally. Work with Global Programming teams to manage FTA and Disney Channel windowing strategies that support franchise initiatives. Working with Global Brand teams in EMEA, Latin America, Japan and APAC, identify franchise challenges in each region through tactical action plans. Communication efforts will include regular global cross-divisional meetings, updating the global share drive, and implementation of an annual global brand summit. Standardize marketing materials including fact sheets, reporting, and decks and make sure that international share drives are updated on a consistent basis. Innovate new global processes and information sharing such as creating and updating global home video, record, and consumer product release calendars. Oversee the US Brand Directors who will focus mainly on US strategies and share best practices with global teams. Identify brand research to answer questions in market. Create global sales presentations and speeches on franchise business Manage international page of quarterly brand newsletter. Brand point person for new platform branding strategies (Jetix) Travel extensively throughout the regions on a regular basis. JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Creating Global Integrated Brand Plans and Strategies to Launch, Build and sustain Franchises - Communicating global, regional and internal across all divisions of TWDC, records, home video, parks, live events, consumer products, games, publishing, etc. - Innovate and implement new global process to facilitate franchise development - Compelling presentation skills. - Manage Global Brand Management team to allow Vice President freedom to focus on moving business to next level - Oversee Brand Management and Synergy Budgets EDUCATION: Minimum 4 year degree EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS/ TRAINING: - 5-10 years in brand, entertainment, retail, business development and/or marketing, or related businesses. - Demonstrated skills in strategic, market and brand analysis. Extensive experience building successful long-term marketing, brand or entertainment strategies. Experience working with successful global franchises and/or brands essential. Knowledge of Global TV and Retail landscape a strong plus. Ability to effectively document strategies to facilitate global communication. Great speaker and strong presentation skills a must.
