Forest Lake Country Club, foundedin 1926, and located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan,is a member owned club consisting of 300 Equity members, 100 Social members and100 other various member types.  The clubincludes an 18-hole golf course, pool and tennis facilities, a 120 seatcapacity dining room and a newly renovated clubhouse with extensive meeting andbanquet facilities that will accommodate groups from 15 to 250 people.

 

Forest Lake is looking for an Executive Chef to provide progressive leadership for the Club's culinary operations under the direction of the Club's General Manager.  The Executive Chef has management and financial responsibility for all kitchen operations.  These responsibilities include: developing menu's, overseeing special catering events, managing and controlling food cost and payroll, ensuring proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensuring proper kitchen safety and sanitation.  The Executive Chef serves as the primary chef for the rastaurants as well as the catered functions and events.

 

Competitive candiates should have a college degree in culinary arts or related field, 5 - 7 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a Private Club environment, excellent communication and customer service skills, and demonstrated ability to provide progressive leadership.

 

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  The position also offers a full benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, and 401k.  This position is available immediately.
