We are looking for an Executive Chef who will manage the Dietary Department of a growing, private-pay retirement community located in Arlington, Texas.
The Executive Chef must have:
An Associate-in-Arts Degree in nutrition and food management, or be a graduate of a dietetic technician or dietetic assistant training program approved by the American Dietetic Association, or the Dietary’s Manager’s Association
A strong background in quantity food production;
Prior managerial experience, which includes strong verbal, communication, and leadership skills
Have basic computer knowledge
As our Chef, you will be responsible for the supervision of 21 employees. Your primary objective is to provide balanced, nutritious, and attractive meals to approximately 170 residents, some of which reside in a nursing home environment, and have special nutritional needs. You will be expected to develop varied menus, and will oversee all aspects of food purchasing, cost controls and inventory. As the Department Head, you will also be responsible for personnel issues which include the hiring, training, and supervision of all departmental employees.
