This ad was, literally, an accident.

I run a small, highly focused consulting firm that serves several of the area’s leading high-end custom building concerns in a part-time, in-house capacity.  We help our clients deal with many of the more complicated organizational and business issues they face while trying to grow and manage a company – Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Sales/Marketing and Recruitment/Retention are our primary focus areas. 

Since even the largest and most well-established of my clients aren’t large enough to justify full time, in-house HR/Operations support, we offer a distributed services solution that is cost-effective and seems to work pretty well for everyone.

Anyway, I call this an “accidental ad” because normally our recruitment advertising is run directly from our client companies when they have a business need.  We are not a recruiting firm, don’t charge head-hunting fees, and don’t really want to build and manage any kind of database.

But, unfortunately, the first time I logged on to Monster to purchase some ads for a client, a series of misunderstandings between myself and my account manager resulted in me purchasing an ad for my little firm which, it turns out, I was unable to transfer to my client(s) directly.

So here we are. 

I'm a born and bred New England yankee (and die-hard Sox fan, lest there be any confusion around the term!), and since the ad is about to expire my frugality has gotten the better of me!  In the age old tradition of using lemons to create a cool, refreshing summertime beverage I figured I would use this opportunity to invite the best and brightest of the estate-quality residential building industry to be in touch. 

Not for anything specific, but just to get 'on our radar', so to speak. 

Some of the roles we're likely to seek qualified people for include:  Project Manager (two positions coming up), Superindendent, Lead Carpenter/Foreman, Production Manager (one current), Sales, Design (for Design/Build firm), and even very experienced Carpenters and Installers.

Our project and client list is ever evolving, but there are several interesting opportunities coming to fruition at the moment which will create some exciting openings this summer. 

You'll see our direct company ads, too, in the coming weeks, but just in case you're more 'casual' in your interest, or are thinking about making a move 'down the line', or even if you are just curious what's out there these days... it's probably not a bad idea for us to know one another.

To that end, I'd invite you to reach out if you have demonstrated success building or remodeling homes on projects that range from 1MM - 50MM in value.  (Yes, we have not one, but two, clients that have built homes that big... just insane).  If not in that value range, certainly be thinking at the higher end of the cost-per-square-foot spectrum.

If you give me a sense of what you're best at, what matters to you, and where you see yourself, I can keep you apprised confidentially as opportunities arise that might be a fit.
