ESD Device Technologist
Principal Engineer responsible for designing, characterizing, and qualifying new ESD devices and solutions in support of new submicron and high voltage process technologies. Thorough knowledge of ESD phenomenon, both at a device and circuit implementation level is a requirement. Understanding of ESD standards, models, and test procedures is also vital. Duties will involve interfacing with various Fairchild product line designers to design ESD devices and implement ESD solutions for new products, testing and debugging of ESD solutions on existing and prototype products, and development of Fairchild corporate intellectual property, primarily in the form of ESD device and circuit patents. ESD engineer must be able to perform effectively in a project team environment, and work constructively with support groups to complete ESD development, design automation, and qualification objectives.
Technical skills:
10-15 years integration, modeling, yield, or FA engineering experience or equivalent. ESD development and characterization experience. BiCMOS process integration and device physics knowledge. Skills in JMP or other statistical software, PC (Microsoft Office products), and database extraction preferred.
Behavioral Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven customer interaction and support skills. Strong problem-solving, development and characterization, and technical report writing skills.
Education Requirements:
PhD in Technical Area of Study (Physics, EE, Microelectronics, or Material Engineering) or MS degree in Technical Area of Study with appropriate experience.
Relocation will be provided.
