JOB TITLE: Equipment Maintenance – Shift Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:

Gambro BCT is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Shift Lead Technician. This position works independently with direct responsibility for equipment maintenance technicians on assigned shift. Accountability for the performance of the team includes but is not limited to: communication between maintenance, engineering and production, prioritizing and directing activities of team members, completion of projects, compliance with standard operating procedures for equipment maintenance and responsibility for team behaviors. In addition this position is accountable for the technical training and personal development needs of technicians including integration of new employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identifies safety and technical training needs across the shift to maintain a competency level required to support maintenance.

Provide input regarding employee performance.

Provides technical guidance and training to less experienced team members.

Safety conscious complying with all safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Ability to effectively direct activities of resources and follow-up with results.

Supports process optimization through equipment design improvements, changes to operating procedures and maintenance activities.

Will lead special projects.

May be required to work on other shifts and/or willing to be "on call" as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires high school graduate or equivalent.

Requires practical and comprehensive knowledge typically gained through 10 plus years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and automated systems. Previous leadership responsibility and/or formal technical training a plus.

Demonstrated a high level of accountability with good organizational skills.

Exceptional communication, prioritization and multitasking skills.

Must have basic understanding of programmable logic controllers, using I/O to troubleshoot automated systems.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and/or other drawings of a technical nature.

Requires good knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.

Requires a progressive record of continuing and broadening knowledge and scope in leadership and maintenance techniques.

Ability to train less experienced team members.
