Global Energy Company is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager for either Central Tennessee or South Texas areas. Must have experience with environmental projects related to permitting and compliance, collection, control, flaring, and monitoring of landfill gas. Requires a Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Sciences with some engineering fundamentals and a minimum of 6 years experience and knowledge of safety procedures in landfills operations, and operations involving landfill gas. Experience and interest in all regulations governing landfills, landfill gas collection systems; and working knowledge of landfill gas to electric generation project development, permitting, operations, and regulator compliance – experience in these areas is preferred;
Must be familiar with landfill gas analyzers and AutoCAD. Experience with the environmental permitting process including outside consultants, for all new projects and existing project renewals and reviewing all compliance and commercial wellfield reports generated for quality assurance. Experience in auditing existing gas field systems on new or potential projects, design and development of new or existing gas field systems, and making recommendations on gas systems, including maintenance and repair work. Experience in preparation of plans and budgets for needed gas systems maintenance & repair work at landfills. Must be able to travel as required to support projects. Relocation is available.
