SUMMARY: This position will involve project support for a broad range of environmental projects. The position will support primarily Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) site investigation and remedial action projects as well as Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Massachusetts Contingency Plan Comprehensive Response Actions. Requires a BS or higher degree in environmental, civil, geotechnical, chemical, or related engineering plus 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical support for Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies as well as support related marketing activities. Provide technical support for conceptual design for the remediation of contaminated sites. Prepare cost estimates. Plan and implement multimedia field investigations. Report writing and preparation. Assist in the preparation of technical and cost proposals. Provide technical assistance to other projects and proposal efforts when requested.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental, civil, geotechnical, chemical, or related engineering plus 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. EIT registration is desirable. Experience in conducting RI/FS under CERCLA, field investigations, environmental assessments (Phase I, II, and III), conceptual design, cost estimating, data evaluation, or report preparation. Direct DOD experience a plus. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, SARA, etc. is a plus.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, clients, and/or public groups. Ability to write proposals, reports, and business correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform calculations in the environmental area of expertise commensurate with educations background and years of experience.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
