Halliburton, a Fortune’s Top 500 Company, is one of the world's largest oilfield services company, is currently hiring Entry-level Field Engineers within our Wireline and Perforating Services division. Wireline and Perforating is a service that refers to recording and analyzing petrophysical properties information (e.g. oil, gas, rock, water) from downhole formations using leading technology electronic tools and computerized surface systems at the oil well site.  As an Entry-level Field Engineer, the incumbent will undergo 8-10 months of extensive on the job and classroom training to gain knowledge of Open and Cased Hole wireline logging operations and principles including equipment preparation, calibration, utilization and perforation.  Working outside, in a hands on capacity, the engineer has many responsibilities including managing a small crew and effectively communicating with customers.  He/she promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness. This position is not an 8-5, M-F desk job.  Field Engineers schedule is similar to 7 days on call; 3 days off.  Due to the nature of the job, the Field Engineer will spend the majority of his/her time outside and may be working in extreme weather conditions and extended hours.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Must be willing to relocate.Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Technical Engineering or other industry related field required.Good verbal and written communication skills to exchange information and give/receive instructions and respond to inquires.  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a contributing team member. Manual dexterity enough to function effectively with heavy equipment and applicable tools. Must be able to work around chemicals, heavy equipment and other hazards associated with an oil field environment and in extreme heat and cold climates.Must be available to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.Must have no more than two (2) moving violations and/or accidents for which you are judged responsible in the previous 12 months.Must pass a state and federal criminal background check.A DUI within the past three years will automatically disqualify the candidate.A felony within the past 7 years will disqualify the candidateMust be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Greencard holder.

 

Location:

Positions available in rural towns in Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Texas.

Salary & Benefits:

While in training, the employee will earn $4200/month + a $5000 bonus.  After training, the employee’s salary is $4700/month plus monthly bonuses. A comprehensive family Medical plan, 401K, Life Insurance and more are available from the first day of employment.
