Functions in a support role leading to the solution of a particular engineering problem or the development of a capability required to solve a class of engineering problems. Receives close supervision from technical management, as well as technical guidance and training from the more experienced technical staff to which the individual is assigned.Collects information and data appropriate to a particular area of technical effort.Applies the data to help solve the problem by performing engineering computations, measurements, and analyses.Prepares engineering sketches, drawings, and tables for inclusion in formal technical reports.Prepares written inputs to major reports documenting an engineering analysis and authors or co-authors reports, as required.Prepares status reports, letters, short technical memoranda, and contact reports.May contribute to formal briefings given to the project sponsor.Participates in scheduled project review sessions and in informal interactions with the project sponsor.Complies with security procedures in the performance of duties.Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 0 to 2 years of related experience and basic knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques in college or hands on experience. Candidate must have strong mathematical, problem solving, communication, and computer skills. Candidate should have experience with computer aided design-CAD and/or computer aided engineering tools. Experience in reliability or failure analysis is a plus, but not necessary. Travel on a limited basis will be required to interface with customer base. Candidate should have experience with technical writing and preparing formal reports. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is a must. U.S. citizenship required to obtain security clearance.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering plus 0 to 2 years of related experience and basic knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques in college or hands on experience.
A strong mathematical, problem solving, communication, and computer skills background is required as well as experience with analog and digital electronics design and statistics. Experience in reliability or failure analysis is a plus, but not necessary. Candidate must be willing to travel and interface with customer base. Candidate should have experience with technical writing and preparing formal reports. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is a must. You must be able as a U.S. Citizen to obtain a security clearance for this job.
