As the Systems Sales Engineer, you will provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support (i.e. on-site presentations, demo room activities, etc.) of assigned digital software, hardware products, and network services support to district personnel, including developing timelines for technical requirements. Also, you will interact and communicate with customer IT departments at an executive management level. This will add creditability to the sales process as it relates to strategic product offerings, host print initiatives, document management solutions, and network services support offerings. In addition, you will work with the District Technology Services Manager and Technology Services Engineer (TSE) and provide details of the strategic opportunity to be implemented, prepare bid reviews and analysis, and define overall project plans for technical implementation and support. Qualified candidates will possess: *MCSE certification and 2 years job-related experience *Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience preferred *At least 1 year of sales experience providing pre-sales support (i.e. evaluation of tech requirements, solution design/recommendation, on-site presentations, RFP response, etc.) to sales/management team *2-5 years Windows or NetWare networking knowledge *Knowledge of Windows/Unix/AS400/S390 printing or color printing a huge plus *Experience with document management solutions, including scanning, imaging, faxing, and printing is a plus. *Strong knowledge of software applications such as MS Office, desktop publishing, network management, print job control, database, and other mainframe applications highly preferred. *Solid technical background, business knowledge, and oral and written communication skills including Statement of Work (SOW) documents *Excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven commitment to customer satisfaction. **Due to onsite presentations and demonstrations, local travel is involved and required.
