Position Description: This position is part of a team to optimize the deployment, distribution, and sustainment information environment by adopting a Corporate Services Vision (CSV). Positions range from senior system architects, BRP specialists, database mgt specialists, information engineers, functional analyst, financial analyst, system analyst, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing an Enterprise Architecture by adopting the company Corporate Services Vision (CSV). The CSV is a services oriented architecture (SOA) approach to identify and re-use services across the Enterprise. Work with a team to develop and propose new business and technical solutions and translate user objectives into actionable business, organization and technology objectives as related to the development of the SOA approach.Architect, design and develop an integrated information technology solution/system support project requirements, scope, risk, and change management issues related to the CSV. Research and evaluate current emerging tools, techniques and technologies related to the creation and implementation of the CSV.
Years of Experience Required: Various depending on the specific role on the Enterprise Architecture team, but must have minimum of 15 years overall IT experience systems analysis, design, and development of automated information systems.
Skills Required:
· Experience conceptualizing, designing, developing, and overseeing complex, large scale information technology solutions/systems and related architectures
· Experience developing and proposing new business and technical solutions and translating user objectives into actionable business, organization and technology objectives
· Good understanding with the concept of Service Oriented Architectures.
· Demonstrated experience supporting large organizations with systems that span multiple business functions
· Strong background in designing enterprise architectures or program management experience with large complex MIS systems development
· Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must work well in a team environment that consists of both government and contractors personnel.
Skills/Experience Preferred:
· Department of Defense (DOD) experience is preferred; specific related federal experience may substitute.
· Experience in segmented architecture development is desired
· Experience with DOD Joint Deployment and Distribution Architecture (JDDA), Business Enterprise Architecture(EA) (BEA), and Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) is preferred
· Experience with Transportation, Supply, Logistics or Distribution-oriented systems preferred.
· Knowledge and understanding of Integrated Governance Models
· Experience in performing congruency analysis.
· Certifications in Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR), FEA, Supply Chain Management (SCM), LEAN/Six Sigma, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) are desired
Travel Requirements: Some travel.
Security Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Education:
BS/BA Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related area.
